Ultra-High Net Worth

Also known as: UHNW, UHNWI

Definition
Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) refers to individuals with very substantial investable assets, typically US$25M+ in liquid form. The tier above HNW.

UHNW is the segment served by the US-headquartered private banks (JP Morgan Private Bank, Citi Private Bank, Goldman PWM, Morgan Stanley PWM — all US$25M+ minimum) and the Ultra-HNW tier of Swiss universal and pure-play banks (UBS Ultra-HNW US$50M+, HSBC Ultra HNW S$50M+). UHNW is also the threshold at which single-family-office economics typically clear, and where Singapore Section 13O / 13U tax exemptions become viable structures.
