High Net Worth
Also known as: HNW, HNWI
- Definition
- High Net Worth (HNW) refers to individuals with substantial investable assets, typically US$1M+. The category is distinguished from Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW, typically US$25M+) and from mass-affluent (typically S$200k+).
HNW thresholds vary by institution but most Singapore private banks use US$1M (DBS Private Bank, HSBC Jade), US$2M (HSBC Private Banking, UBS, Julius Baer, Pictet entry), or US$5M (Bank of Singapore, SC Private Bank, HSBC GPB). Above US$25M sits the UHNW tier (JP Morgan PB, Citi PB, Goldman PWM, Morgan Stanley PWM minimums). The thresholds appear directly on our /private-banking-singapore-minimums comparison.
