Trust Company
Also known as: licensed trustee
- Definition
- A trust company is a MAS-licensed entity authorised to act as trustee, executor, or administrator for private trusts and estate matters in Singapore. Licensed under the Trust Companies Act 2005.
Singapore trust companies provide professional trustee services including trust administration, trustee fiduciary duties, beneficiary distributions, and tax / regulatory reporting. Many large private banks operate in-house trust companies (Bank of Singapore Trustees Limited, UBS Trustees Singapore, EFG Trust). Independent trust companies (Trident, Asiaciti, Heritage Trust) offer an alternative when families prefer structural separation from custodian banks. WealthManagement.sg directory lists 80+ licensed SG trust companies.
