SGX
Also known as: Singapore Exchange
- Definition
- Singapore Exchange (SGX) is Singapore's primary stock exchange and securities depository operator. Hosts equity listings, REITs, ETFs, structured warrants, and bonds.
SGX is a key counterparty in Singapore wealth management — every SG-listed equity trade settles via the Central Depository (CDP). Notable SG-listed instruments for HNW investors include SG REITs (CapitaLand, Mapletree, Frasers, etc.), Singapore Savings Bonds (SSB), MAS bills, and ABF Singapore Bond Index Fund. SGX-listed instruments count toward the 13O / 13U local-investment requirement.
