Relationship Manager

Also known as: RM, private banker

Definition
A Relationship Manager (RM) is the lead client-facing banker at a private bank or wealth manager who owns the relationship with HNW or UHNW clients.

RMs at private banks typically run books of 20–40 clients (UHNW) up to 100+ clients (mass-affluent / priority banking). They are responsible for the full balance-sheet view of the client, coordinating between investment advisory, credit, structured products, and family-office services. Senior RMs at Singapore private banks are typically paid S$300k–S$1.5M+ depending on book size and AUM.
