ACRA

Also known as: Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority

Definition
The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) is the Singapore corporate registry. Every Singapore-incorporated entity — including every MAS-licensed firm — has an ACRA record with its Unique Entity Number (UEN), incorporation date, registered address, and director list.

ACRA maintains the BizFile registry of all Singapore companies. It publishes basic company information freely via data.gov.sg and detailed BizFile profiles for a per-profile fee. The Unique Entity Number (UEN) issued by ACRA is the canonical Singapore corporate identifier — distinct from the MAS-issued licence number — and is used across government services for tax, employment, and procurement.
